Field Trips
Students are given opportunities to take field trips in their particular area of interest. They may choose to study geology in Nevada, or language in a special immersion program. Some students might choose to visit a historical site, while others visit universities, others opt to take cooking classes at a culinary school, or another type of learning venture. The idea of the field trips is to provide students with experiences that help them learn as well as validate their individual interests. Click here for current trip information.
Clubs
To form a club five or more students would meet based on their mutual interest and submit their club theme to the Director for approval.
Shows
Students can participate in our seasonal Theater Production/Art Show.
Student Store
Students who wish to create and operate a student store will have support with the goal of promoting an entrepreneurial student effort to design, market, stock and sell goods through the school. Included in this concept would be the possibility of selling stocks to other students. In this manner all students could have first hand experience with economics and investment practices.
Lunch
Students can purchase delivered, catered lunches or bring their own lunch. Teachers and students can eat together either on the patio or in any other places students and teachers convene. There are drinking fountains, vending machines and microwaves available for teacher and student use.
Parents
We will be seeking active parent volunteers to support the school and school activities.
